O.P.I New York City Ballet

I purchased the NYC Ballet mini set in Sally's, it was just over €15.

From left to right: My Pointe Exactly, Don't touch me, Care to dance and Pirouette My Whistle.

I'm wearing Care to Dance and My Pointe exactly on my ring finger. Notice the difference?

Sure, they are pretty but I can't tell you enough how disappointed I am in the three coloured polishes. The glitter polish is okay, you could probably find a better glitter polish in your local drugstore/pharmacy.

They are nice to look and and give my nails a nice simple, clean look. The polishes on don't appear to look anything like they do in the bottle. Very sheer, no matter how many coats I do. Almost like something you would get after using a manicure set. You know the ones where you get a white, pink and clear varnish.

I would not buy these in the full size and I'm glad I tried them out in the mini form. What do you think?

Over and out!
Sarah

Depotting Blusher - Benefit | MeMeMe | Inglot

I showed you my mad Urban Decay episode the other day. Well  I decided to continue with my blushers using the Unii Palette.

I depotted my Coralista by Benefit. Coral blush me by MeMeMe and a shadow by INGLOT which suits nicely as a blush.

Here we are, there new home! I am also fairly new to the Unii palette so I will see how I get on with it and let you know soon.

Kisses and hugs,
Sarah

Bumble Bee & Dandelion Nails

I wanted to do a bumble bee nail look and then Aundrea on twitter asked me to do dandelions so I decided to do both!

Both looks are so simple to do, if I can do them then anybody can.

Bumble bee:
First I painted the nail white so the yellow would stand out more. After the yellow coat was applied and dries I used a nail art brush and painted three black stripes across my nail. Then using the end of a tooth pick with I cut off to make the end more rounded I dipped it into some black and created two eyes. When that dried I did the exact same thing but used white instead. As always apply a base and top coat.

Dandelion:
I applied a base coat and then a light blue vanrish. I used Sure Azure by Essence. I used my black nail art brush again to make the steam of the dandelions. Using a white nail are brush I then lightly painted small strokes to create the dandelion. On the two bare nails I did small strokes of white to create the effect of the dandelion flowing away in the wind.

Hope you enjoyed this,
Sarah

Glossybox Anniversary

I was delighted when my glossybox arrived today just two days after I received my dispatch email notification. I was actually in shock.

In my May Glossybox I received:

Noble Isle, Summer rising bath & shower gel. Yay another feckin shower gel! They must think I'm a smelly girl that glossybox team! I am not liking the scent, it smells like a man's product to me.

Murad, Clarifying mask. I am actually delighted with this product because it is such an expensive brand and my face needs all the help it can get. Retails at £35.75 full size.

Eldora false lashes. You can never have too many eyelashes. Retails at £3.90. Not really a high end product but I like it. I'm happy.

Uniqone, all in one hair treatment. I am looking forward to trying this bad boy out I must say. Retails at £13.99.

Perfume samples. I can't say much else as I have not sniffed them yet!

As a thank you or to include us in their Birthday celebrations Glossybox have decided to give us a lovely little compact mirror. I actually needed one as mine broke the other day. Great timing.

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY GLOSSYBOX.

Note to glossy box team: Please don't sent me any more shower gels, hand creams or perfume samples. More make-up please. I feel like you should rename your company the Glossy-Skincare box. I would also like to see some English writing/instructions on all the products if possible.

Watch me open the box here!

Depotting Urban Decay

Now I know your gasping in horror at this post. How could someone be mad enough to ruin their beautiful Urban Decay palettes? A brand well known for their pretty, fabulous packaging. Well you haven't met me and I'm pretty mad!

I still had a half full Z.Palette which I bought at IMATS, an empty Unii Palette which I received in the Cork meet up goodie bag and the lovely Paula gave me a mini Z.Palette yesterday so a little depotting was in order.

I began with the Sustainable palette. I nearly didn't depot this palette. It was the first Urban Decay product I owned. My dad bought it for me in the duty free when I was moving home from the UK. It was a "I know you don't want to move back, I'm sorry your mother and I guilted you into doing so" present.

It was so easy to depot this palette. The shadows where surrounded by cardboard so no heat was needed. Just something with a sharp edge and a gentle wedge.

The second palette I depotted was the Midnight Emergency kit. I have to admit I have owned this palette for six months and have only swatched it. Hopefully now that the shadows are out of the packaging I will use them more.

This anniversary palette was a complete bitch to depot. I managed to get the first out the same way I did the other two, with some gentle movements. I had to use heat for the rest. I rested the shadows onto my hair straighteners to melt the glue and that made it easier to pop them out.

I want to do a review on the Z.Palette at some stage. Now that it is full I can do a proper review on it after a while. I also have my MUA shadows in this palette.

Two shadows where harmed in the making of this blog post.

Would you think about depotting your Urban Decay palettes?

Sarah

Rainbows & Clouds Nails

I did these nails recently and got great responses on instagram and twitter so thought I would share it with you .

I used:
Sure Azure (light blue) by Essence
A red, yellow and green nail art lacquer which came with a fine tip brush.
Snow by Barbara Daly from Tesco
A tooth pick
A piece of cardboard.

Tips:
I cut the end off of the tooth pick and dabbed it into the white polish which I had on a piece of cardboard. I then did dotting motions at the tip of my nail to create the clouds.
Take your time with the rainbow, small strokes at a time until your confident enough to do one long line.
If you don't have nail art pens or brushes just use a fine paint brush or an old thin make-up brush.

Have fun and Good luck,
Sarah
